I have learned to transform challenges into learning and personal growth.

Extracurricular activities offer me opportunities to enrich my self.

Sports

I love sports. It helps me with discipline and to focus on my goals. I like competitions! I've been playing sports since I was a child. I made many friends and met important athletes like the soccer player 'Zico' and I had the privilege to play soccer at his school.

Capoeira is also my passion and I have been practicing since I was a child. Capoeira is a Brazilian sport that combines martial arts, acrobatics, music and dance. Today I practice capoeira at "The Capoeira Forge" in Sacramento.

My family believes in the power of making a difference and, therefore, we are dedicated to helping several non-profit institutions that care for the well-being of people and animals. Whether through donations, participation in events or publicity for important causes, we support those in need. It is gratifying to know that our actions help transform lives and protect those who don't have a voice.

Brazilian churches

Baroque in Brazil (17th–18th centuries) was the first major artistic and architectural style in colonial Brazil. It emerged under the strong influence of the Catholic Church and Portuguese power, being used to express faith, grandeur, and emotion. Its works feature exuberant forms, contrasts between light and shadow, and rich ornamentation, standing out in the churches and sculptures of cities such as Ouro Preto, Salvador, and Olinda.

Rococo in Brazil (18th – early 19th centuries) emerged as a lighter and more elegant evolution of the Baroque. It is more delicate, emphasizing light colors, graceful forms, and refined decoration. This style valued harmony and softness, replacing Baroque drama with a more intimate and ornamental beauty. Its most striking expressions appear in churches and altars in cities such as Ouro Preto, Diamantina, and Rio de Janeiro, notably the works of Aleijadinho and Mestre Ataíde in the Church of São Francisco de Assis in Ouro Preto.

The Netherlands

"Dutch Masters of Art History"

The Famous Dutch Masters were a remarkable group of painters who lived during the Dutch
Golden Age (17th century) — a time when the Netherlands was one of the most prosperous
and culturally vibrant countries in Europe. These artists became known for their realism,
mastery of light, and ability to capture daily life with emotional and visual depth. Their works
reflect not only artistic splendor, but also the values, beliefs, and spirit of a society in
transformation—marked by economic growth, maritime trade, and the emergence of a
prosperous middle class that began acquiring art to decorate their homes. Among the most
celebrated names are Rembrandt van Rijn, Johannes Vermeer, Frans Hals, Jan Steen, Jacob van
Ruisdael and Vincent Van Gogh, whose creations fuel the influence of artists and enchant
admirers worldwide.

ART AND CULTURE

Bossa Nova "The Girl From Ipanema"

Bossa nova is a Brazilian music genre that emerged in the late 1950s, known for its blend of samba and jazz, creating a calm, smooth, and sophisticated sound. It is characterized by syncopated rhythms, complex harmonies, soft melodies, and gentle, understated vocals, often with a focus on the nylon-string classical guitar. Lyrical themes commonly include love, nature, and the easy Brazilian lifestyle.

"The Girl from Ipanema" is its most famous song, which helped popularize the genre internationally and features elements like syncopated rhythms and gentle guitar or piano.

The song "The Girl from Ipanema" was composed by Antônio Carlos Jobim (Tom Jobim) and Vinícius de Moraes in 1962.

ART Deco

Rio de Janeiro city

Art Deco arrived in Rio de Janeiro in the first decades of the 20th century, reflecting the desire for modernization and sophistication in what was then the Brazilian capital. The style marked architecture with geometric lines, symmetry, and the use of materials such as concrete and iron. Christ the Redeemer (1931) is the most famous icon of Rio's Art Deco, considered one of the largest sculptures of this style in the world. Other examples appear in buildings in the city center, Copacabana, and Flamengo, which blend elegance and functionality, representing the urban optimism of the time.

Miami city

In Miami, Art Deco gained momentum especially after the 1926 hurricane, when many buildings needed to be rebuilt. The style stood out for its use of pastel colors, curved shapes, nautical motifs, and decoration inspired by tropical nature, reflecting the city's beachy atmosphere. The famous Art Deco Historic District in Miami Beach brings together hundreds of buildings with vibrant facades and neon lighting, making it one of the best-preserved and most emblematic Art Deco ensembles in the world.
